In Louisiana!!! New Orleans Style Cookin'!

Today has been such an incredible day! Meeting Charles, bonding with all my fellow missionaries, working at the Carpenter's House 2! It's been such a fantastic experience and it's only the first day here! (Well, second if you count that we arrived last night.) The work was very hot, but satisfying, as we strung wiring, put up insulation, and hung dry-wall in the Carpenter's House 2 in St. Bernard's Parish, New Orleans.
We had beans and rice (with sausage) for supper. A local delicacy that does wonderous things for one's intestinal track. LOL The end results of that meal could be very enlightening (and smelly!)
We're not sure where we'll be working tomorrow, or on what we'll be working. Charles' motto is "be flexible, be flexible, be flexible."
Later this week we're going to go visit and minister to the people that live under "the bridge." Can't wait to see God move among the people there as we meet and talk with them.
Brenda led the devotional this morning with a verse from the Book of Jonah, oddly enough about "the flood." Very appropriate for what we're doing.

Always remember, "Holy is the Lord God Almighty!" Let go and let God.
PEACE
