We were at a six team meet this evening and "dominated the competition!" (Pride cometh before the fall.) We set a new record, at least as far as teams that I've ever coached. The girls compiled 258 points in the meet, compared to the second place team that had 96 points. Great weather, although the runners got a nice resistance workout with the wind. We have a home meet on Monday and our conference meet starts two weeks from today. (It's a 2-day affair.) Things look to be coming together, though I'm not about to overlook the Bees! They're powerful and anxious to test us in hopes of dethroning our reign as conference champs. If you want to see someone who's a nervous wreck, come watch me in two weeks. I won't relax until the final event is over. That's one of the great benefits of running: it's a fantastic stress reliever.
This Saturday is the Indy Mini-Marathon. I want to run that one of these years!
However, Big "C" and I will be at the Boy Scout camp over by the reservoir for "Medieval Days!" Come joust the fun with us. :P
