New Beginnings

Well, according to my watch I've got 9 minutes left in April, 2008. In just 9 minutes it'll be May, 2008. Wow! How time flies! I was reading on another post earlier about lots of things that that person liked and didn't like. (Pastor Pink) Then I read an assessment of Barack Obama and whether or not he's a Christian, patriot, elitest, great politician OR a Muslim, unpatriotic, non-elitest, anti-politican? (I so need to use spell check!) Uh-oh, only 6 minutes left! In my life,... actually, in the past decade is the only time that I've really paid any attention to politics, primarily in the last five years since I've been teaching high school government classes. ALL politicians are flip-floppers and political spinners who pander to the audience/crowd by saying what the "people" want to hear and make a plethora of promises that they either can't or don't intend to keep. (T-minus 3 minutes and counting!) Do I really like any of the three major candidates? No. Is there one who I share at least a modicum of ideas with? Maybe. Do I know who I'm going to vote for in the primary next week? Yes. Is there someone I think is better qualified than all three of the current contenders? Definitely. Unfortunately, I'm not well known in the town I live in, let alone our county, state, region, or country. Most people who see me probably say, "Aren't you that crazy guy who's always out running?" Yep, that's me. (Happy May, 2008! Bye April, 2008.( RUN HAPPY! :)
