(AC/DC music playing in background) ~ Thunder, nah nah nah nah naah, Thunder, etc., etc. Wow, who would have guessed that spring storms would be such a relief from the snow that we had this winter. God's fireworks choreographed to His own special music! We had a forty minute "lightning" delay at a track meet tonight, but still got most of the events in.
One of the things that I enjoy is developing strategies during games or contests. I think that's why I choose to play many of the PC and boardgames that I do. They involve strategy. Coaching a track team involves this as well. You have to study your opponents, find their weaknesses, and exploit them as best you can while placing your own athletes where they'll help the team out the most. If you have some self-centered athletes, as I do this year, it's hard to get them to buy into the team first concept. However, it's worked the past two years and I'm confident that we can pull it off again this year. :]
(Maybe some of the Bengal players could stand to learn something about the team first concept!?!)
