70 Years!

As it is now past midnight, I'll begin with ~ "Yesterday (Sun.), June 21st, was my grandparents 70th Wedding Anniversary!!!" Can you believe that? 70 YEARS! A lot of married couples (about half) are lucky to make it to 7 or 10 years, so 70 years is incredible!!! Now, I know what some of you are thinking -- if you read in the Old Testament of the Bible you'll discover couples that were married a LOT longer than that. I think it was all the goats milk and warm, dry climate that helped them. ;) Melissa and I get along really well (as long as I do what she says!), but it's hard to fathom being married to each other for 70 years, especially since we're only at 12.5 years. If I had to guess at the reason for the longevity of my grandparents marriage it would be four mutual things: an enjoyment of sports, a love for fishing, eating a LOT of the fish they caught, and turning their hearing aids down or completely off. (Plus the TV up really loud!)
